Reuben Wu (b. 1975 Liverpool, UK) is a visual artist and music producer. Coming from a background in industrial design, he co-founded the band Ladytron, released six albums as well as writing, producing and remixing others such as Nine Inch Nails, Blondie and Xtina. The extensive world touring introduced him to photography, which grew from a hobby into a full time career. Reuben is based in Chicago but work takes him far and wide. The notion of journey and discovery is central to his art, bound with his love for new technology and the opportunities it brings to modern storytelling. Reuben’s book LUX NOCTIS (published by Kris Graves Projects) was published in Oct 2018 and has since been added to the archives of The Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago. Reuben’s work has been published by National Geographic, Time, Colossal, Wired, The Smithsonian and has been commissioned by clients such as Apple, Audi, GE and Samsung. Reuben is represented by photoeye Gallery and Illuminated Media International, and is a Phase One global ambassador.
